For me, coffee is a necessity, not a luxury. Truthfully speaking, drinking coffee is more of a high-speed operation than a leisurely sip. But, while I was home for Thanksgiving, I switched things up. Rather than crawling to Starbucks each morning (where the chances of seeing someone from high school was great), I decided to "slow drip" my coffee instead.
Now heres's the kicker, my family and I even went as far to bust out the fancy mugs and whip up a nice breakfast too. Although it was something so simple, taking the time to slow down, led to some of the best conversations I've had in a while.
It's the little things in life.
[ps: adding homemade whipped cream to your coffee will change your life. no joke.]
