ever think about April Fool's day?

Up until 1564 it was a tradition to begin the New Year with a week-long celebration ending with a HUGE party. But the calender was different back then; the new year began on March 25th-which meant the party was held on April 1st. In 1564 a new calender was instituted, making January 1st the New Year. People who forgot and stilled showed up on April 1st were called APRIL FOOLS!!!!

ps: happy anniversary to my parents! they were set up on a blind date on April 1st, and it was no joke because they have been married TWENTY FIVE years. Adorable.
